Tips For Buying Your Mattress

Does your back hurt at night? Have you had back surgery recently? Many people are finding that the cures to their aches and pains can be found by just changing out their mattresses.

Sales on specialty mattresses are booming and many people are reading the consumer reports to pick out the best bed for them. Some want a back supporter, others want to be able to control their side versus their partners side. Reviews are singing the praises of all the various mattresses out there including many for the spring air mattress.

Which one should you pick? There is no one answer that is right for everyone. Every mattress has its pro's and con's. For some, price may be the most important factor, while others are willing to pay anything to get a good night's rest. There are many places you can go to for purchasing a new mattress. The mattress stores offer many brands to choose from like Serta, Sealy, Simmons or Spring.

You can also find mattresses in department stores like Macy's or furniture stores like Rooms To Go. There are also specialty stores like Select Comfort Sleep Number. At all of these stores you're going to find a wide variety of quality and prices to choose from. Many stores will carry the same models, so make sure you comparison shop. If a store you trust and like carries the same brand at a higher price, ask them to match the competitors price.

Don't be afraid to try that mattress out! Kick off your shoes and lay down in the middle of the bed. Note how it feels on your hips, shoulders and back as these are your heaviest parts. Check out the warranty on the bed and remember that you're making a selection that is going to last a long time.

Think about how much time you spend in bed and try not to let the price be your only deciding factor when choosing your bed. Pick based on comfort more than anything else. If you sleep with someone else, spring for the larger size as you know there's going to be some tossing and turning going on, either by you or your partner.

Ask about a take-away service for your old mattress as many retailers will do that for you these days.
